Marina was born in Odessa and immigrated to the US at the age of 14. After studying at UCLA, Marina worked as a visual display stylist in commercials. Since moving to New York in 1998, she continued to work in the home design and decorations industry and owned a French home design store in Soho.

Stas was born in Moscow, where he attended Medical School before immigrating to the US in 1989. Once in NY, he graduated from the Columbia University nursing school and worked as a nurse at NYU Hospital’s intensive care units. He then completed a Master’s in Business Administration degree at NYU Graduate Business School. Over the last 17 years, he has been an investment banker at JPMorgan and is currently a Managing Director responsible for providing advisory services to healthcare services and software companies.

Marina and Stas reside in midtown Manhattan and are proud parents of Fay (10) and Raya (8) who have been students of the Sunday Shkola since its very inception 5 years ago. Both Fay and Raya attended kindergarten at the Rabbi Arthur Schneier’s Park East Day School.
