Shachar was born in Jerusalem in 1987, the grandson of 4 Holocaust survivors.

His story with Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School began at the tender age of 6. While in 1st grade, he studied math with 5th grade. He celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at Park East in 2000. As a Seventh Grade Park East student, he won First Place in the New York State Mathematics League Championship and in Eighth Grade he won First Place in New York State in the American Mathematics Competitions. He also served as President of our Student Council.

Shachar graduated Park East in 2001 and enrolled in Stuyvesant High School, studied at NYU and has a degree in Business summa cum laude from Binghamton University.

He is active and dedicated to a variety of Jewish and Israeli organizations including the American Society for Yad Vashem, Aipac and others.
Shachar is a businessman investing in tech and real estate.
He travels to Israel every year to see his extended family and he will be tying the knot with Karina Borshch later this summer G-D willing.

The values and commitment to the Jewish people instilled at Park East are evident in Shachar’s day-to-day life and he is confident he will pass these on to the next generation.
